Or is it 50cc (moped) the maximum allowed? DVLA site didn't solve my question.

It depends on when you passed your test


but it's 50cc NOT a 125, if you passed your test in the last (i'm guessing) 12 years) you more than likely need to take a CBT


with a cbt you can ride upto 125cc on L plates, if your 17 or over

not on american roads...you would need a motorcycle license....a 49cc automatic can be road with just a regular car driving license...foud this out at dmv this summer
