I'm 16 years old and looking for my first car. I get my license in January. I have someone I know who's willing to let me keep his car for 6 months until I can actually afford the car I want to buy in June. Is there a way possession can be transferred for only 6 months, then automatically transferred back? We both want to avoid all the trouble of transferring ownership when it's going to be transferred right back. How does insurance work out in a situation like that? The car is a 3.0L V6 Taurus, so will it kill me to insure it?

You can't transfer insurance for only six months and then transfer back. If I were you, just don't even take the risk of driving someone else's car. I just got my license actually, I got a brand new car so I don't have to worry about it, but really if you desperately need a car then drive your parent's because at least it will be on the same insurance if you crash or get pulled over. yeahh so dont take the riskk !!
