Its do at about 50,000 miles. It is a good idea to change it before it breaks.Because when it does it ruins the head.

Check you owners manual for recommendation. However, usually it is after 60,000 miles. This is very important to do because if this belt breaks it could ruin the engine.

if you think its due then change it.there not that expensive but if it goes and you try to restart the engine like i did on my old clio you could be looking at £300+ repair bill.as the other guys have said, usually between 50,000-60,000 miles

Normally it is between 50k to 60,000 only if it is dry and has not been in contact with oil or water from any damaged bearing or water pump. You can of course have a visual examination by opening its cover, if you find any cracks, weakness or its thickness below normal it is better to replace it. Supposing it breaks while driving it costs hell a lot of money to set it right changing its valves and get it re-bored, definitely not an easy job to take up.

I have a 1.6 Daewoo Tacuma and it should be changed at 40,000 miles or 4 year intervals so i imagine your car will be the same.
