No. Motorcycles as well as autos are designed to idle. You can actually let it idle all day and it will do no harm.

Idling for extended periods of time can cause over heating, especially with air-cooled engines, but idling at a stop light or while warming up is no problem.

No idiling for that short period of time will not hurt your motorcycle.  I do it sometimes to give my hand a little break from the clutch.

i wouldn't say it hurts your motorcycle but personally i wouldn't want to let it idle at a stoplight. the main reason is because the road is unpredictable sometimes and you never know when your going to have to react quickly and get out the way.

It won't hurt till some  twinkie on a cell phone doesn't see the stoplight and you can't get out of her way in time because you're in neutral.

No, but I don't recommend sitting in neutral.
Being in gear can save your bacon one day. It has others.
