I have recently brought a triptronic yaris, It's  a perfect car but theres jsut two problems which are cousing major problems for me, 1st is at steepy hills, where the speed suddenly drops, which is rather bad when they are cars are the back of you! and the other main problem is when doing manouvours and reversing, becouse they is no clutch I am unable to control speed - I am driving in 'E' mode which i presume is like 'D' in an auto. How do I conbat this problem without selling my car!!!  should I use the other side which is a plus and a minus??? A confused mind!

it is not you that is problem hear ,its the gearbox design to be frank its a crap gearbox for doing slow manoeuvres but on the whole what a great car,the gearbox behaves in a similar way to old ford escorts that have the dreadfully cvt box in them(constant Variable transmission)they just seem to snatch from static to slow motion

first, read the owners manual.  it probably addresses this issue.
second, if you are driving like this, the car is waiting for you to downshift which is why speed drops.  so, push over to the plus and minus and when speed starts to drop going up a hill, hit minus.  hit again as necessary.  once over the top, hit + to return to where you were before.
